* This is a companion novel to A Cry For Hope and can be read as a stand-alone.
In A Cry for Hope you meet Jamie’s carefree younger brother, Will. Now read his story…
Will McAdams is a New York City firefighter who has always lived in the shadow of his older brother, never quite measuring up to his parents standards. He lives his life without regrets, and answers to no one. The women love him and he uses that to his advantage, making it clear that he only has one use for them.
Gabby Spencer is a nurse in the burn unit of a busy New York City hospital. Her guarded personality doesn’t allow many people into her life and her patients take the place of her lack of family. She masks the pain that she is harboring deep inside with quick wit and sarcasm.
When Will becomes one of Gabby’s patients they form a special bond and soon become each other's solace. But Will doesn’t see her like every other woman in his life. She means the world to him and he feels an underlying need to always protect her – most of all from himself. Even though he wants her more than he’s ever wanted any other woman, he’s not willing to take that next step and jeopardize everything they have. When jealousy and pain begin to overtake their once perfect friendship, will Will's fear of falling in love and never measuring up, cause him to lose the one and only woman to ever own his heart?

Will and Gabby's story absolutely broke my heart and put it back together again.I was already completely in love with Beth Rinyu's writing after reading Jamie and Hope's story but she really took me over the edge with this beautiful and heart wrenching work.
Gabby's story really resonated with me being so similar to my own. She is strong and confident on the outside but a little bit heartbroken and alone on the inside.
Will is trying his best to fill a void with women and booze but we know that is never a long term cure.
The two of them together are comfort food for the soul.
I thought I knew where the story was going but was in tears towards the end when I realised their connection was even deeper than I could have ever hoped for.
My angel brought me to this book and was touched.
I read around 5 books a week and this one has been a highlight. I have been thinking about starting to write too and this author inspires me even more.
Well done Beth Rinyu for what is definitely my book of the year.

A Will To Change Hope Book 2 edition by Beth Rinyu Contemporary Romance eBooks Reviews
Another great book by Beth Rinyu.
One of my favorites! Slow build to romance but they are such a great couple together it is worth the wait
I have loved every single word this author has ever written, but without a doubt, this book is my favourite.
Will and Gabby are two believable characters with a believably unbelievable story. I hung on every word and felt every emotion.
Beth Rinyu makes you live the stories with the characters. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for this amazing author.
+++Spoilers+++
Overall this was not a terrible story but I forgot that there were things that I don't like about the way the author tells a story. So basically the premise is that both of these main characters have deep issues in their pasts, which impact on relationships for them in the present and that's fine and I get that. What I hated and I hate in general, is that the H continued to sleep around with other women for most of the book despite the deep attraction and feeling developing between him and the h. It's very hurtful for the h and it's difficult to read about and accept and always spoils a romance for me. The H is often awful and callous towards the h, she isn't gorgeous like him and of course she doesn't have loads of guys chasing after her. I truly wanted her to get involved with the H's close friend when he was keen but of course she doesn't. The H is still sleeping around in the very last few chapters and when the h has an opportunity with yet another guy she again doesn't because of the H. My stomach was in knots and I hated the H for what he did. It that's not a problem for you then you'll probably be fine with the rest of it. The author develops the relationship between the main characters well but the love story only really happens at the very bitter end. There are loads of summaries and reviews so I won't go into that but I know that other readers have the same issues I do, and this will save them buying this book. I wouldn't choose to buy this book and would've liked the option to avoid it.
As a huge fan of Beth Rinyu, I always one-click when her books are released. From the beginning when she published “The Exception to the Rule” I have been hooked. The pattern continues with “A Will to Change”, which I loved. This book is a companion to “A Cry for Hope” which is one of my favorites. Her stories always bring the characters true to life and the story lines are realistic. I would highly recommend this story and cannot wait for Ms. Rinyu’s future projects!
Omg Beth has outdone herself on this brilliant book with a love story between two people called Will and Gabby.
Will is a hunk of a firefighter who rescues a 17 year old girl from the Trade Centre on 9/11 while her dad struggled to get her down due to a broken leg.
So many years later Will is still fighting fires but gets burned on his right arm in a fire and ends up in the burns unit at hospital and his nurse turns out to be Gabby.
Gabby is terrified of her boyfriend when he starts drinking. When Gabby moves out and moves in with Will she begins to have feelings for him but Will doesn't do relationships.
As time goes on Will becomes jealous as Gabby starts going on dates with his colleague from the fire station.
But it takes Will time to realise he is in love with Gabby that he had A Will to Change and follow his heart.
I won't give much more away on this brilliant book because it is worth a read.
I loved Cry for Hope and I certainly do love A Will To Change the are both worth a read from a brilliant author Beth Rinyu.
I think Beth Rinyu is my new favorite author! I have read a few of her books now and I just can't get enough. Her stories always feel genuine and heartfelt and not over the top sexually. I don't mind a sex scene, but I also prefer them to be a backdrop to emotion, and not all that the book is about. Beth does this perfectly!! This book was no exception.
I loved A Cry For Hope and this is crossover book from that. It was nice to read a little about previous characters. I love this authors writing style and how effortlessly the words flow on the pages. I think the main characters in this book were perfect and their connection was genuine and sincere. there was a little surprise or twist towards the end that I didn't see coming, which is always nice-) This is a great book! I would totally recommend any of Beth Rinyu's books!
I will mention just is passing that the only thing I was somewhat confused by is the cover of the book. The girl on front didn't seem to match the small (petite) picture that was descibbed of Gabby in the book. Not a big deal, I was just surprised when Will described Gabby and it didn't match the cover girl....but maybe that was just my own minds picture)
