First this book was a very easy book to read. I found it so interesting that when I started reading it I did not want to put it down. What an interesting life. I hope Mr. Kelbaugh writes other books both fiction and non-fiction.Product details

Closure My Life Backwards Paul Kelbaugh 9781257851027 Books Reviews
I will begin by saying that the last time I read a book from cover to cover, for pleasure, was the first Harry Potter book. I enrolled in Paul Kelbaugh's BUAD 100 class, and within the first week, immediately knew that he was a man who would change my view on the world. After reading Closure, My Life Backwards, I can honestly say that I do not think I will find a better read than this! He tells about his grandparents, all the problems they went through, the history of his parents, grade school, middle and high school, and then his situations with college, it all made perfect sense and was something we can all relate to in some way or another. He censors what needs to be censored, but otherwise tells us just the way it was. Once you pick up this book, you will not want to put it down! I can guarantee that.
If you were born in the late 40's or early 50's, you will become lost in your remembrances of growing up, elementary and high school and perhaps your time at college. Paul Kelbaugh recounts his life over his first 21 years sharing with us what it was like to grow up in a broken and dysfunctional family and how he was able to separate his family life from his outside life, and, by virtue of his intelligence and keen powers of observation, rise above that upbringing and was able to lead a life full of interesting pursuits and accomplishment (which we may learn about in a future book?). I was born the same month and year as Paul and could empathize with so many of his experiences during his early life in school and even into college. You don't need to have been born during this period. Anyone who has a curiosity about growing up during the turbulent 60s and 70s will thoroughly enjoy this read. If you have felt the pain of love lost, had questions about your future and where life would lead you and have pondered how fate constantly interferes in your best laid plans, spend a few hours with Paul as he shares his life with you.
I knew Paul Kelbaugh when he taught me business law class back in college. His knowledge of the justice system and way he connected with students made him one of my top teachers I had ever had. When he announced he was releasing an autobiography, I was beyond interested. I still remember going into this book in the beginning and thinking "this sounds like a story of a hero, a comedian, and your well-rounded guy, this is fictional". And it wasn't...The story is still something I talk about with others 7 years later. Family members, friends, office workers alike have all borrowed my copy, and each couldn't put it down.
The last conversation I had with him he had mentioned a continuation was in the works...I await the day to purchase that one as well. Hard copy of course per Professor Kelbaugh ).
Paul tells great story on how friends, family and neighbors had a profound impact on his life. Life is about making choices and adapting to our environment.
Once I opened it, I couldn't put it down. Working so far from home, this book really makes me miss the city of Lynchburg and Lynchburg College as well. However, you don't have to be an LC graduate to relate to Mr. Kelbaugh's experiences. Honestly, one of the best books I have ever read.
First this book was a very easy book to read. I found it so interesting that when I started reading it I did not want to put it down. What an interesting life. I hope Mr. Kelbaugh writes other books both fiction and non-fiction.
